How to send CMD+CtRL+F2 to redhatGuest

All, I have a MAC OSX 10.9.2 host running VBOX 4.3.8
I am running a Redhat guest from mapr but in order to log into the guest I need to pass the keystroke
Cmd+Ctl+F2 using my MacBook Pro laptop host.
I have read the documentation and been to forums but unable to find how using my mac I can send the key strokes Cmd+Ctl+F2 to my red hat guest.
So far I think this is not possible, as I have even in frustration keyboard bashed different combinations resulting in me opening menus from the Mac host.

Can someone please help?

You can't send a code for a key that doesn't exist in the world of the guest. So, what on earth is the "command key"?

Perhaps it would help if you posted a VM log file, so we could get more detailed info.

On your Mac, you need to open System Preferences>Keyboard, check "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys".

the only caveat to doing that is you need to hold down the Fn key to use the special features printed on each key when using the Mac.
