VirtualBox Using Old System Path

Post by dalekslayer96 »

When I tried using VirtualBox to install Windows 7, the application gives me this error:

Code: Select all

Cannot create the machine folder Windows 7 in the parent folder /Volumes/Storage/Users/student/VirtualBox VMs.
Please check that the parent really exists and that you have permissions to create the machine folder.
It seems like VirtualBox keeps on using my old system path, which was /Volumes/Storage/Users/student/.
But now it is /Volumes/Macintosh HD/Users/dalekslayer96/
So how would I reset the system path?

In the VirtualBox preferences, use the drop down menu for Default Machine Folder to point to the new path.

There are three groups of people. Those that can count and those that can't.
