I have had to exchange my iMac's harddisc and used Time Machine and Migration Asssistant to get my programms back in place.
Everything works fine, except Virtual Box.
I get the following message:
Machine UUID {4028c4e7-48e5-43fa-8ab3-6c1237d47281} in '/Users/elchberlin/VirtualBox VMs/Windows XP/Windows XP.vbox' doesn't match its UUID {6681db68-fce2-4053-83d2-856a9d30817b} in the registry file '/Users/elchberlin/Library/VirtualBox/VirtualBox.xml'.

Re: UUID match problem
The error message means what it says. It has found a VM with a matching name, but the UUID is different hence the restored VM can't be the same one registered in VirtualBox. There must be something missing from your summary, e.g. that you tried creating a new VM with the same name, and then you overwrote the new VM folder contents from the backup of an old VM - that would result in this message.
The correct way to restore a v4 VM is to restore the VM folder and then use Machine|Add to register it in VirtualBox. The New button should only be used to create new VMs, not register existing ones.
ps. I deleted your cross-post in the German language forum.

Re: UUID match problem
That is not the same problem. Do you not see that the error messages are not similar?
Yours is a straightforward case of a media file not being where it's supposed to be. Fix that and the VM will run. If you check File|Virtual Media Manager it should tell you what files are missing.
