Connecting to the Internet

Post by Rockdragon »

Hello all, I am an absolute newbie at this so please forgive me if all my questions are very stupid. Basically I am running Indiana on a Mac OS X host. I have the network systems on the default, NAT with the virtual cable attached. I've looked through the manual and it says that should be fine for just basic web browsing, which is what I'm looking to do. However the virtual machine does not connect to the internet at all. I'm not an expert on networking, in fact, I don't know anything about networking at all. However if anyone has some suggestions or can point me in the right direction to even begin troubleshooting this, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Ok, I now found out that I can access the internet from the VM at home, but not at work. Maybe some restrictions imposed by my work network??
