full screen and loading converted image

I have two problems for help if possible:

1. How do I cancel the full screen mode?
2. Having converted my vmware vmdk file to a vdi file I loaded it into Virtual box. It did not open. The view screen remained black. Is there a solution to this so that I can run win2k within VB?
