anyone know if 4.1.8 resolved this issue? i don't want to install Ubuntu 11.10 fpr the umpteenth time just to find out it hasn't.

11.10 works for most in 4.1.6 and there were some things added for ati cards. See the changelog. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=46807

well I don't see anything mentioned about this bug in the 4.1.8 changelog so I guess I'll assume not.Perryg wrote:https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/9863
edit: just for the heck of it I installed 11.10 and nope, Unity 3D still doesn't work on Mac hosts.
re-edit: I forget where I read it but apparently once you are in Unity 2D you can type "compiz --replace" in a terminal and things work as they should.
