I assume that this software CANNOT reuse a boot camp partition?
I did not read about it anywhere.
reusing BootCamp partition ???
BootCamp Partition Support
I have been a user of VirtualBox for Linux for about 1 yr now.
On my Linux PC I use opensuse10.3 as my host and I use Windows XP as a guest. The Windows XP guest uses a raw disk image/partition instead of a vdi file. Using raw disk mode also enables me to dual-boot my PC into Windows XP from the grub menu (like in Boot Camp on a Mac) or run it within VirtualBox in Linux (virtualized guest).
I just started using VirtualBox 1.5.51 Beta 3 for Mac OS X as I just got a new iMac.
When installing it there is a list of know issues:
No support for Host Interface Networking, Internal Networking, audio input, VT-x/AMD-V, raw disk, and numlock emulation. USB unstable. VirtualBox kernel extension accessible from all user accounts.
Based on the list of known issues, I would guess that as of Beta 3, Raw Disk support is disabled. Therefore at this time...VirtualBox cannot reuse a Boot Camp partition. Sorry...
