Error: Failed to map a memory object (VERR_MAP_FAILED)

Post by FF44 »

Hello guys,
Since install OS X 10.6.8 update correction, I cannot launch W7 in VB anymore, either my iMac than MB. Same error. Permission repaired and Extansion pack yet installed. Has someone an idea to fix this issue ?
Thanks

I come back to this fatal issue, I have posted a ticket #9335 in Public Bugtracker. I have to work for training with all Microsoft Office's version installed with W7 in a couple of week and I cannot access to it anymore. That is a great problem for me.

I am getting the same error with a Vista client on a Mac host running 10.6.8 and using Virtualbox 4.1.2. If there is a fix for this, I would greatly appreciate some help with this matter. I use this Vista client for classes.

Thanks,
Vern

Hey guys,

I had this same issue on OSX 10.6.8 and found a solution in another post with a similar problem.

The guy there mentioned that he noticed his MacOSX kernel wasnt running in 64bit mode (which you can check in the activity monitor).
Kernel Task should have intel 64bit as its 'kind'

If it only shows "intel" its running in 32 bit mode.

Solution:
Reboot your Mac, and hold in the 6 and 4 keys while it is booting up.
