Hi all,

I'm struggling to get my windows 7 copy installed from a physical DVD. I was hoping to see the mac DVD drive as a unit available into the storage deck, but it looks I can pick up only ISO file.

Is it really so complicate? Perhaps you can give me an hand.

Thanks in advance.

Try making an ISO-Image.

That is odd. This screenshot is from my Win 7 guest.

If you click on the disk icon on the right of the CD/DVD box, do you not see your host drive listed?
As Stefan said you can always use a CD/DVD utility to create an iso image from the physical DVD.

Yes, I see the screenshot you published, but I don't remember which settings it was containing. I guess it was on the secondary IDE master, but I can reckon it now.

Anyway, I ended up generating an iso.

Thanks for the suggestions.

It doesn't really matter what is in the box. What matters is what appears in the dropdown list when you click on the disk icon or the right!
