Given that virtualbox isnt an emulator, no there likely wont ever be a PPC version. The reason it works on Intel machines is because a virtual machine basically just provides an environment for the OS to run in along side the host OS. Windows only runs on Intel-compatible hardware and would need that hardware emulated (much slower, see VirtualPC for Mac etc).

Well, a VirtualBox on PPC could always load ppc linux or ooder mac versions, I guess, but anyways I doubt a PPC is even in the farest of the todo lists.

Perhaps you should have a look on Q / QEMU: http://www.kju-app.org/kju/

It emulates x86-machines even on PPC systems.

Forget it.

Such Emulators emulates a defect PC in real time.

For this you have to buy Virtual PC (commercial). Dont know, if this exists any more.

Q / QEMU is not that bad. On a G3/800 it was usable to boot Win98 - quite slow but fast enough for testing with MSIE.
