Guest OS USB not working when VM Processors > 1

I've searched the forums A LOT to try and find a solution to my Guest OS USB problems. What happens is that VirtualBox would see the USB devices both in the Filter Setup area of the Settings Window and also using the USB icon along the bottom of the Guest OS window (Status Bar?) area, however, the Guest OS (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit) would always respond with "USB Device Not Recognized" when plugging in a device. Oddly, Windows would still make the USB connect and disconnect sounds as normal.

The USB devices are NOT grayed out as I've read in some other posts.

Eventually I came across this post:

I tried changing the number of processors in the Guest OS to 1 and USB started working fine. I changed to 2 and USB broke again. I again changed to 1 Processor and USB was working again. This behavior was observed for VirtualBox 3.2.10 and 3.2.12. I'd REALLY like to have the additional processor cores available.

Many of the suggestions I came across pertained to Linux and not MacOS X. I found one ticket that deals with USB issues, but there was no mention of the number of Processors being a factor (mostly USB filter setup issues): http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/5343

Does anyone know if "USB not working when the number of processors > 1" has been reported as a bug? I'm new to VirtualBox, so please direct me to the proper area to create/follow a ticket.

My setup:
Host - iMac Core i7 2.93 GHz (Quad-Core) / 16 GB RAM / Snow Leopard / 64-bit Kernel
Guest - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit / VirtualBox Guest Additions installed
