Hi,
I have VB 3.1.8 running a Windows XP guest under snow leopard.
I am trying to access an HP wireless printer (photosmart C7280) which is connected directly to my wireless router.
No matter what I do, I cannot see it to add it under windows.
I am using a Bridged Adaptor, but doesn't seem to matter if I connect using Airport or Ethernet, same problem.
Bizarrely if I go to my network places I can see the device there and can access the HP page that tells me all about the printer and its status!
If I go to control panel and try to add the printer I cannot see it when I browse for it on the network.
I can connect to a printer directly connected to the MAC via a USB cable, and another shared printer on my Microsoft network.
I'm guessing if I could work out the right URL ... I could probably connect that way??
Has anyone managed to get this sort of setup to work?

Re: Wireless Printers
I had trouble like this a year or so ago. After reading:

I figured out how to get around this by adding the printer as a network printer. You can also see the threads of my posts at:

Good luck

Re: Wireless Printers
Thanks, that helped alot!
In the end, for anyone else trying this, install the HP driver in the windows environment first and then let the driver find the printer. It finds it right away and it just works
