Network nightmare

Post by phed »

I have DSL connection.
Everytime I would like to use the internet on my Mac, I must conect the PPPoE service manually. I have already pre set up the username and password, so that is not a problem.

Now, the nightmare, If I enabled the network adapter of the VB, then I can browse the internet in the Windows XP guest *WITHOUT* connecting the PPPoE service first??? Could anyone suggest why this happen? I have installed Little Snitch, but Little Snitch shows no internet activity???

My VB network settings are:
PCnet-FAST III (Am79C973) <-- this is the default, I did not change it
Bridged Adapter <-- I think the default is NAT, I changed this (What is NAT?)
en0: Ethernet <-- The only other is en1: Airport, so I did not change it

Thanks!
