Shared folders on Ubuntu Guest

Ok so ive installed guest additions on Ubuntu guest and i wanna share the folder ive selected in virtual box under settings.

It was easy enough in my windows xp guest, but im not sure how to do it on there.

for some reason my other house computer, which isn't using virtual box or anything, seems to appear in the network drives on ubuntu already. so i don't know why the mac one doesn't
