Losing network connection
Losing network connection
Using a Macbook Pro and running VirtualBox 2.2.2 with a Mac host (10.5.6), all of my guest hosts (Vista, OpenSolaris, Ubuntu 8.10) lose their network connectivity whenever resuming from sleep mode. I always then have to restart VIrtualBox and then everything is fine. My laptop has no problems with network connectivity after resuming from sleep mode, only the Guest hosts running under VirtualBox. I never had these problems before upgrading VirtualBox 2.2. Any ideas?
Re: Losing network connection
5 years later I still have the same problem. Here is the current setup:
MacOS 10.9.2 - host
VirtualBox 4.3.10
Windows 7 - guest
A majority of the time when I resume from sleep mode I loose network connectivity on Windows (guest). The only way I have found to get a network connection again is to restart VirtualBox.
I opened a bug report a few years back but it was long ago closed as not reproducible.
Any suggestions on how to debug or a minimum how to get my network connectivity back without having to always restart Virtual Box?
