Bug: 2.2.2 + Linux + 3D-Effects + OSX Spaces = Chaos

Post by rm53 »

I have Ubuntu 9.04 running in VB 2.2.2 on MacBook (white).
When I enable 3D-Effects in Ubuntu, the fancy effects work as they should, at first.
But when switching Spaces (in Mac OS X) and Desktops (in Gnome) several times, screen contents shown is not what you click on. It gets completely scrambled.
E.g. you see a Ubuntu screen, click on a menu and in fact the click goes to a Mac window on a different Space than that where the VM is running.
It can easily get as bad as you can no longer communicate with the Linux system, whatever you are clicking. When you switch the OS X GUI to the correct space, where Linux should be running, the screen is black and any click switches back to a different Space. Horrible.

When disabling 3D-Effects in Gnome settings, everything works again as it should. Of course, without the fancy effects...
