Bridged Networking Crashes on VLAN

Post by Devnul »

I have virtualbox running on an intel xserve running OSX server 10.5. I have 3 VLANS setup in OSX, and I would like to be able to bridge them to three virtual NICS in my guest OS (Ubuntu 8.04). The GUI lets me choose the VLANS as valid NICS, but then the VM crashes with a general error on startup.

Code: Select all

Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

Unknown Error Creating VM(VERR_GENERAL_ERROR)
I'm wondering if there are any workarounds for this, or if you guys can think of any other ways to attempt this short of adding physical NICS to the machine (so i could completely untag any traffic coming in)

Thanks for any help.
