after i upgraded to 2.2, first my machine list was empty. i have found the VDI file and after adding it for some reason all the changes i did since august 2008 were lost. like fresh windows i installed.
anyone seen it before?
after upgrading to 2.2 all disappeared

This sounds like you snapshotted your VM and have broken the snapshot chain during the upgrade. If you search the posts for recovering snapshots and read my tutorial All about VDIs, this might help you recover this.
