Make a virtual machine from an existing macintosh?

I have an existing installed macintosh that has various apps and such installed on it.

Is it possible to make a virtual machine out of this existing installed macintosh... would i simply use VBoxManage convertfromraw on it?

OSX does not currently run in a VM under VirtualBox.
