I've just installed Windows XP into a VM on my Mac and now presume that it would be wise to get some antivirus software for the Windows partition???
I have no idea about Windows and would really like some advice about suitable free antivirus software.
Also I would be very interested to know what happens if a VM does get infected with a virus - can the Mac host become a carrier and "vector of disease" even if it can't be infected itself? Or is the virus "trapped" within the VM? I use both a shared folder drive and USB mass storage devices with my Windows VM
Antivirus software and general VM virus question.

Re: Antivirus software and general VM virus question.
I do apologise, maybe my string was insufficient but I did not find a satisfactory answer through the search, hence my post - I would be very grateful if you could direct me towards the appropriate threads or help with an answer. Thank you.
