I cannot get through the initial phase of compressing my virtual hardrive winxp performance ed. Upon selecting FAT32 or NTFS compression, it goes through a set-up process, but always freezes. I've tried both formats FAT and NTFS, I've tried 700-1400 of my total RAM, and I've left it running for over two hours and nothing, not even the clock, shows any response. Occasionally the progress bar says 100% complete, but the it never kicks over into the next phase. Can someone give me some suggestions to making this thing work? I'd appreciate it.
