Redirecting save point problems

Post by Huey69 »

Hey everyone..
I have a little problem. I created a new partition on my drive specifically to house my virtualbox files.
In Virtualbox preferences I have redirected both hard drives and machine folders to my new virtualbox volume. However, I can't delete the same files from the previous parition (this is after copying these files to the new partition), if I do this, all virtual machines are deleted and Virtualbox see's nothing and acts a new. How can I get Virtualbox to recognize that new volume for what it needs?
I have a feeling this is an easy fix, but I can't quite get it. Thanks in advance.

May be it helps to detach the vdi from the old vm, define a new vm w. the same properties, attach the new created vdi to it and delete the old vm from inside Virtualbox.
