MacOSX Leopard Host - WinXP Pro Guest. Can't use USB Support

I'm using virtualbox for the first time.
I have installed Windows XP virtual machine without service pack on my Macbook Pro Unibody, but i can't use usb port on my Mac from the virtual machine...
I activate the usb support in the settings of the VM and installed the guest addiction...
There is someone that can help me ???
