I'm using OS X 10.5.6 and VB 2.1.4 (or rather *trying* to use VB!) When I try to start up the XP session with an XP install CD in the CD-ROM drive, I get the following:
PIIX3 cannot attach drive to the Secondary Master (VERR_GENERAL_FAILURE).
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_GENERAL_FAILURE).
Result Code:
NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component:
Console
Interface:
IConsole {e3c6d4a1-a935-47ca-b16d-f9e9c496e53e}
If I don't mount the CD, I get the message that no bootable medium was found. Is there a way to install XP from a CD under OS X? I have no problem at all with VB when Vista is the host OS.

Solved
I tried putting the CD in the second DVD drive and it's working now. Go figure.
