I am evaluating using VB under Mac OS X (10.5.6) as host and Windows Vista Home Premium as guest. My question concerns limits on serial ports. I have two USB devices, each of which create Serial Port Emulators (one uses an FTDI chip and the other MCCI). Also I have a Keyspan USB to 4 serial port adapter USA-49WG. All of these devices work correctly under Mac OS X and Windows Vista in native mode.
The VB User Manual says "Up to two serial ports can be configured simultaneously per virtual machine, but you
can pick any port numbers out of the above."
Will the three devices above work under VB? Singly or in combination? Is there a way around the two serial port limit?
