installed windows 7 on macbook unibody, with virtual box without difficulty. the performance of the graphics though is only 1.0, the lowest score. anyway to improve that?
Unfortunately no. The current (basically brand new) 3D implementation in virtualbox is OpenGL only, and does not allow for use with Direct3D graphics which Windows 7 requires. Because of this, Windows 7 mistakenly believes your machine has no 3D graphics support and automatically assigns the lowest score (1.0). You won't be able to run Aero and see any of the neat UI effects either.
Apparently Direct 3D support is planned, but no word on when we might see it. The Virtualbox team seems to be pretty efficient at adding new features so I'd guess it won't be all that long.
