Hello,
I am currently struggling with USB devices on my Mac OS host.
Whenever I try to attach a USB device to the virtual machine, I stops with an error: VERR_SHARING_VIOLATION
Extension pack and guest additions are installed in the latest version 7.0.8 r156879 (Qt5.15.2)
Mac OS is Ventura 13.3.1 (a)
USB device filter has also been added.
Looking into the search results one mentions that one should run VirtualBox under Sudo and re-add all machines. However I dont think this is the right solution. Plus I am concerned about running it as root.
The USB devices work flawless.
I assume there is some conflict with Mac OS grabbing the device before Virtual Box.
Anyone any idea what this could be?
Thank you in advance,
Olga

At the present state, Virtualbox 7.0 under Ventura must be run via "sudo Virtualbox" in a command line to get access to USB.
