OSX Catalina on Intel CPU.
Upgraded to virtualbox 7.0.6 from the 6.1 series and now almost all of my VMs fail to boot.
Linux VMs with LUKS fail to decrypt the root disk reliably, will sometimes work after many attempts.
but when the machine starts to boot the OS has multiple disk failures and will not boot properly.
Not even a bootable ISO will boot - multiple filesystem corruption errors.
Seems as though something in the disk access subsystem is fundamentally broken on 7.0.6 on Mac Catalina
Fixed by reverting to the latest 6.1 chain.
Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

Re: Virtualbox 7.0.6 on Catalina causing all Linux VMs to fail
Forum Mac guru Granada29 says 7.0 will not run well on Catalina. 6.1 or Mac host OS update are the solutions.
7.0 is still in bug hunt phase, so waiting a bit on it may be good, unless you want to help the devs find the bugs.
