Can't install a Ubuntu 22.10 in VB7.0.6 on a OSX 10.15.7

I fail to install an Ubuntu 22.10 guest using VB7 on my oldish macbook running Catalina / 10.15.7.
It fails to present the installer GUI.
Just hangs with different errors.

Tried
- attended / unattended
- re-downloading the image

Got in installing by using unattended setup all kept to the defaults.
Was unsuccessful when changed the user "vboxuser" to "hostmaster".

Our Mac gurus here say that 7.0 is really best only on Ventura. For earlier Mac OS versions it could be better to stay with 6.1.
