OSBoxes Linux Guests on 7.0.4_BETA4 r154605

Post by Mac Dan »

I can't get any OSBoxes linux servers to boot up. They just abort. I tried Ubuntu server and CentOS 32 and 64 bit. Is anyone successfully running Linux guests from OSBoxes?

It doesn't matter where the VMs come from they won't work at the current stage of development. See: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=107344 especially the contributions from aeichner and klaus.

If you want to carry on testing, then try 'early' 32-bit OS versions but there's no accumulated knowledge (yet) of what does work.

There is no indication that the OP is using a beta of MacOS. Topic moved to "MacOS Hosts".

I also don't see any indication that the OP is using an M1 or M2 processor? I guess the fact that he's trying a VirtualBox beta is the clue.

That's what I presumed, because the macOSArm64 Version is the only download carrying the title '7.0.4_BETA4'
