Network adapter not recognised - no wifi

Post by Merky »

Hi.
I have an iMac which i have installed windows under boot camp. I have installed VirtualBox version 6 on windows. Everything works fine, but i cannot print from it. The windows system on the iMac has my printer attached via Wi-Fi and i have internet on the windows os and when i restart in mac os the Wi-Fi and printer work fine, but under VirtualBox no Wi-Fi

I have gone through the network menu and my iMac network adapter does show up, but no internet and no printer (obviously). I have tried the bridged option and still not Wi-Fi
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is not working. I must be doing something wrong.

Thank you

Virtualbox does not provide Wi-Fi network adapters in its VMs. Only wired. You'll have to share the printer in the host OS, then the VM can pick it up through Bridged or Host-Only networks.
