windows 11 Guest freeze or loads super slow.

Good morning, everyone

I just bought a new laptop with windows 11 pro.
I wanted to ask if anyone has had an issue where you make a new machine and start it and slows to a crawl.
I enabled hyper v and it works great on hyper V but it does not work with virtualbox.
Is there something i need to do so it can work the right way.

The specs on the pc are.
Windows 11 pro
32 Gb DDR4
Ryzen 7 5800h 16 Cores
1 Tb SSD
2 Tb Hdd

Please help a newbie who is facing this issue.

Provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

hi I have the same issues where windows 11 guest freezes even with 3gb or 4gb ram on Mac Virtual box 7.0.2

@Oliver, please pay attention to the forum titles. In particular we do not expect questions about MacOS hosts to be posted in the "Windows Hosts" forum. I have copied the topic you posted into here.

- Particularly when it's very unlikely that performance issues on Windows Hosts can have the same cause as those on MacOS hosts.

@Oliver: your host has 2 physical cores, so you should not be assigning 3 cores to any VM. Reduce to 2.

Moving on, your host uses a 3rd generation i5, so I doubt you should expect good performance from Windows 11.
