Re: Cant install new Virtual box
By the "M1" I deduce that you're using an M1 Mac for a host, and not talking about the M1 between London and Leeds. Post moved to Mac Hosts.
Virtualbox doesn't work on M1 Macs because of the Mac's ARM processor. Please see the sticky in Mac Hosts. No word has been provided on when Virtualbox might work on an M1. Edit: a beta M1-supported version is being worked on. We'll see how things go.

Re: Cant install new Virtual box
I don't have an M1 Mac to test, but isn't the VirtualBox-7.0.0_BETA1-153351-macOSAArch64.dmg download the M1/M2 compatible version? 'AArch64' indicates it's for ARM CPUs although it's not yet mentioned in the current 'draft' Version 7 User Guide.
If I'm correct, this thread probably needs to be moved to the Beta Feedback section.

Re: Cant install new Virtual box
Yes, you're probably correct. An Apple Silicon compatible VirtualBox version is being worked on for a few months now, but AFAIK, it's still in its infancy. So don't expect miracles yet.

Re: Cant install new Virtual box
ATM you cannot use VirtualBox on a MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon (M1, M2). If you must use your MacBook Pro, you could take a look at a software called UTM.
