FreeBSD and UFS issues with VirtualBox

Are there any known issues with UFS on Virtualbox? I cannot get FreeBSD to install for the life of me, as it routinely runs into disk errors resulting in a corrupt VDI. I am currently running Ubuntu, Windows, etc. without error so I don't believe it is my Virtualbox configuration necessarily. I am running beta 2 for the record.

BTW, this appears to be a Mac OS X host only isse. I have successfully installed FreeBSD 6.2 on Windows XP Home host with no hitches. Looks like FreeBSD is not happy with how the OS X versions manages its VDIs. Any thoughts on this one?
