Please provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

00:00:02.408537 Installed Extension Packs:
00:00:02.408550 None installed!
The host extension pack is required in order to get USB2/USB3 functionality. You then also need to select EHCI or xHCI support in the VM USB settings.

18MB is not enough graphics RAM. Increase to 128MB.

Also, Windows will run a lot better with 2 CPU cores.

Download the matching extension pack from the same place you downloaded the main installer. On Windows hosts you would then double click the ".vbox-extpack" file to install it, perhaps the same thing will work on MacOS hosts, I don't really know. Or you can install the extension pack from within VirtualBox itself. See section 1.5 of the user manual.

Go to <VM settings>|USB. Choose EHCI or xHCI.

From your posted log:
00:00:02.406061 VirtualBox VM 6.1.30 r148432 darwin.amd64 (Nov 22 2021 16:15:31) release log
Virtualbox & EP versions must match. Either bring Virtualbox up to 6.1.32 or get the 6.1.30 EP from

Hi, thanks for the great support you give me...
I have a question, can I do an update my Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.30 to 6.1.32 without losing the Windows ?

Would upgrading Microsoft Office make you lose your Excel documents? Of course not.

Updating software does not delete data (the VMs).
