Hi, and thank you for a very informative forum.
I've been trying for while to get an Ubuntu LTSP server up and running, and connect with a thin Linux client all within VirtualBox on a MacBook Pro.
I got the Ubuntu Mate up and running configured for LTSP according to several guides (can@t post urls yet) but with no luck. The thin client boots and receives a IP address in the range 192.168.67.xx but times out trying to connect with tpft server:
No more network devices
FATAL: Could not read from the boot medium! System halted."
So, what I'm really asking is if anyone has done this and if so which Ubuntu version with what settings was used?
And, what network settings should be used for the server and client on VB, I've tried several with no luck.
Stein-H.

Re: Ubuntu LTSP server
LTSP apparently = 'Linux Terminal Server Project"
So you need a good network between the two VMs. See Virtualbox Networks: In Pictures.
What network type have you chosen for the VMs?

Re: Ubuntu LTSP server
Hi, at the moment I'm using Host Only network, and apparently I've got Tftp working now somehow.
Now I'm getting a different error, probably something with my LTSP setup I think:
"/ltsp/x86_64/vmlinuz... ok
Could not select: Exec format error
Could not boot image: Exec format error"
I will google further on

Re: Ubuntu LTSP server
Good, Host-Only should work. The error message you are getting sounds like an in-the-OS error message, which looks like you got a working network now.
