Today I shut down my Windows Guest and copied the .vdi file for backup purposes.
When I try now (four times!) to restart the Windows Guest, during the Windows spinning dots the entire Mac hangs requiring hard reboot.
I've attached VBox.log.1 for analysis.
Meanwhile, I'm going to try and boot with a .vdi from last year's backup.
Does anyone have any guidance they can share about this? Thank you for anything anyone can suggest.

Re: Starting Windows Guest hangs entire Mac
Update: I trashed this morning's .vdi and its copy and restored a .vdi from 15 months ago. It works like a charm.
I have no idea how the .vdi file was corrupted. I simply shut down the virtual machine and made a copy from inside Folder. Both files couldn't be used, each causing the Mac to hang requiring a cold reboot.
I've just restored 15 months of Windows updates and it looks like I'm back up and running.
No follow-up required. Perhaps the log file will be of interest to other readers.
