The VM session was aborted : NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

Post by Axel82000 »

Code: Select all

The VM session was aborted.

Code d'erreur : NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Composant : SessionMachine
Interface : ISession {c0447716-ff5a-4795-b57a-ecd5fffa18a4}
help please !!!!

Start the VM normally from full power off, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Also, Repeat the above starting the VM without a display.

3D acceleration is enabled, and video RAM is way too small:
00:00:00.251509 3DEnabled <integer> = 0x0000000000000001 (1)
00:00:00.251518 VRamSize <integer> = 0x0000000001000000 (16 777 216, 16 MB)
Increase video RAM to max.

The reason why starting without a display works is because 3D acceleration is ignored when running 'headless', that is, with no display. 16MB video RAM would then be OK. But with 3D enabled, much more video RAM is needed.

Please post a new log with the changes.

Also, please try making a new Ubuntu VM, see what that does.
