Reinstalled latest version of VirtualBox and the extensions and looks like is working again.

Faced the same issue. Reinstalled the Virtualbox 6.1.26 , nothing changed. Any idea ?

When you installed the update did you have the System Preferences > Security & Privacy Apps window open. It should flash up a prompt for permission to allow installation of the Oracle update? After permission is given and the installation completes you should then get a prompt to reboot.
If that doesn't happen then something is screwed up in MacOS

I had the same problem, macOS updated to 11.5.2, no VM would start up.
Just running the VirtualBox-6.1.26-145957-OSX.dmg installer again did not help.
But running the previous installer VirtualBox-6.1.22-144080-OSX.dmg made macOS trigger the check again, then I ran the latest VirtualBox-6.1.26-145957-OSX.dmg installer, which triggered the macOS check once more, and now it works again.
