Compiling Python 3 Bindings for macOS

Hello,
Has anyone tried to compile the Python bindings for macOS but using user supplied Python 3 headers?
I am not familiar with the build process and it's not obvious from the build instructions for macOS if it's possible to compile parts of VirtualBox or you have to build the sub-systems as a whole.
