Screen Resolution in XP Pro (on MacBook Pro) problem

I'm running XP Pro in Virtualbox on a Macbook Pro running leopard. In control panel display settings within th evirtual machine, I cannot change the resolution to the mac native 1440 x 900. does anyone know how I can achieve this?. It works under VMWare Fusion no probs

hi,

i had the same problem. check in the manual, on page 125 it states:

...it is possible to change it by issuing one of the following
commands from the command line:

VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/MaxGuestResolution any

will remove all limits on guest resolutions.

VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/MaxGuestResolution
>width,height<

manually specifies a maximum resolution

it worked fine for me

Thanks for this - is this command to be written in a Terminal window on the host OS?
