Hello ,
After reinstalling Windows 10 Pro, I miss the Virtual Box folder and the entire drive: Z
After starting Windows 10 Pro, the error message appears: VBoxTray-Error: VBoxHook.Dell Not found
How can I install this Again.
Thanks for Feedback

Re: Drive Z and Virtual-Box-Folder missing
You need to map the shared folder to a drive letter again, inside the Windows guest. Google for how.
This has nothing whatever to do with VirtualBox btw. It's the guest OS that decides how it will label guest drives.
You might also want to consider whether you need a drive label on that folder at all. Drive letters are 1980's tech and I have not used one in at least a decade. The better way to access a shared folder is to type "\\<hostname>\<sharename> into the path line of a windows file explorer window. Windows 10 will add that folder to the Network branch of the folder tree, where you can right click it and select "Pin to quick access". The latter makes the folder visible in every file explorer window and in every file open/save dialog.

Re: Drive Z and Virtual-Box-Folder missing
I'll just add that for Virtualbox Shared Folders and a Windows* VM, the "\\<hostname>" that Mpack mentioned would be:
\\vboxsvr
So if you hade a host folder shared through the VM's Shared Folders settings as "mysharedfolder", then you'd find this folder inside the Windows VM per Mpack's instructions by typing:
\\vboxsvr\mysharedfolder
* For Windows VMs only; Linux & others use different schemes, see section 4.3 in the manual.

I'd say that's a given. If we're talking about an alternative to drive letters then the discussion is already specific to Windows.scottgus1 wrote:* For Windows VMs only;

Hello, here my complete steps to solve this Problemmpack wrote:You need to map the shared folder to a drive letter again, inside the Windows guest. Google for how.
1. Menü Virtual Maschine: Device: Installing Virtual Box Guest Additions
2. Windows 10 Pro: Map the Virtual Box folder as a network drive (Z: )
3. VM Virtual Box Manager: Finally, add the Virtual Box folder under "Shared folders" with + (green).
finished

This was probably the thing that was needed:winnithedevil wrote:Installing Virtual Box Guest Additions
This would have reset the OS, requiring a reinstall of the GAs, along with other programs.winnithedevil wrote:After reinstalling Windows 10 Pro
Glad you're up and running!
