I have a problem with intermitent shutdowns of virtualbox. This started like a week ago and I don't seem to understand what may be happening.
I am attaching the VBox log to help. Any pointers are welcome

Re: Windows Guest Intermitent Shutdowns
Memory is slightly too tight:
This log is of a run of the VM that did not shut down, nor does it show any failure in Virtualbox or the the VM's OS. Did any troubles happen during this run of this VM?
There are two of these:00:00:01.632522 Host RAM: 16384MB (16.0GB) total, 7821MB (7.6GB) available
00:00:01.807582 RamSize <integer> = 0x00000001f4000000 (8 388 608 000, 8 000 MB, 7.8 GB)
00:00:01.807852 VRamSize <integer> = 0x0000000010000000 (268 435 456, 256 MB)
Was your Mac suspending during the run of this VM?01:12:47.439311 Resuming VM execution, reason 'host resume'

Re: Windows Guest Intermitent Shutdowns
Thank you for the response, do you suggest I reduce the guest memory?scottgus1 wrote:Memory is slightly too tight:00:00:01.632522 Host RAM: 16384MB (16.0GB) total, 7821MB (7.6GB) available

I faced these challenges mostly when the Mac was idle, can I add the application crash report from Mac here?scottgus1 wrote: There are two of these:Was your Mac suspending during the run of this VM?01:12:47.439311 Resuming VM execution, reason 'host resume'
I did post a discussion as well on the apple forum here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252594996
I thought I was attaching the appropriate one, will resend the log when the problem reoccur. Thank you for your timescottgus1 wrote: This log is of a run of the VM that did not shut down, nor does it show any failure in Virtualbox or the the VM's OS. Re: Windows Guest Intermitent Shutdowns
Either that or be sure the host doesn't have a lot of heavy programs running on it.baffourt wrote:do you suggest I reduce the guest memory?
Sure, in a zip file, please. The Mac gurus (not me ) might be able to use it.baffourt wrote:can I add the application crash report from Mac here?
Sounds like a plan!baffourt wrote:will resend the log when the problem reoccur.
Re: Windows Guest Intermitent Shutdowns
I have attached the application crash report from the host machine
I also noticed I am sometimes able to produce this behaviour by idling on the machine for it to sleep, when waking up, it may happen.
Sometimes it wakes up ok and then when i switch to the host without waiting for sometime then VB will crash.
I did reduce guest memory to 5GB but the problem persisted os I increased it again
The host is not running anything apart from the firefox web browser with about 10 open tabs.
Also if the guest stays on for long periods I notice a lot of repeating keys.
This is the VB log file
I hope these logs help me get this pain out
