Hi, I have successfully installed Windows 7 on my mac, first with the VDI and then VHD setups but it still requires me to have the CD connected/inserted in my computer from an external CD device with Windows to boot windows. What am I doing wrong/how do I get it to not need the external CD attached? Thanks.
PS I hope im asking this in the right place

It sounds like you are trying to install Windows and your install media is on a DVD. You can use an ISO maker to copy the DVD into an ISO file on your computer's hard drive, which will work in the VM's CD drive instead of the host CD player. Microsoft will allow non-Windows physical computers to download an install ISO which can be used directly, and Windows computers can use the Media Creation Tool to make an ISO instead of a DVD.
