Installation Failed on Mac High Sierra- 10.13.6

I recently downloaded Virtual Box on my mac. In which I ran through the installation process which was almost completed until I clicked a popup saying something I don't remember. In which after that Virtualbox has not been able to work and the installation process now greets me with a message saying that my "installation" had "failed". I have also opened Virtual box but another error shows up. Saying "-102 File not Found" and "NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)"

Your hardware profile is not relevant for your problem, at all actually, it's Apple new security policy that's the problem. And for that, you need to read Apple's documentation as I said, User-Approved Kernel Extension Loading. That's where the problem is.

As far as mounting the DMG, that's what you do when you double-click on a DMG file; you're mountig a Disk iMaGe.

I saw a bunch of ways to fix this problem at the beginning of my search. I tried multiple times to uninstall and then reinstall Virtual box with the hope that there would be a button for me to click to allow for Virtual Box to be "trusted". Although when I first installed Virtual box I clicked the "allow" box but was then unable to get Virtual box to work.

Actually it seems that you edited your message while I was posting my reply, and you added the installer log. And from there I see the following:

I am not sure... I disabled something on my System Preferences allowing for any developer files to be installed on my computer. If that helps at all.

BTW, that's not how you report an error. Because if the message was "Your startup disk is almost full", that would have been a completely different problem. So please try to be as accurate as possible next time...

I apologize. This was about last week and I have been trying to fix it ever since... I remember it having something to do with Virtual Box but I am not sure. Do you know what the problem is? I have tried to fully uninstall and reinstall but it keeps on showing me the error during the installation process.

As I said, from the installer log it looks like a permissions error. Let's start with the basics. Post the output from the following command. Note that it's one command split in 9 lines, you'll need to copy/paste all of them:

Your basic permissions look fine. I'd like you to try the following:

• Reboot your computer.
• Try to install VirtualBox.
• If the installation fails, immediately go to the System Preferences » Security & Privacy. See if Oracle needs to be allowed to be installed. Allow it.
• Repeat the installation.

If you could also grab at the same time a new installer log, that would be great.

I followed the steps that you gave me. Without success, the installation process still fails with the same error message as before. I'm not sure if this is relevant but I have uninstalled and reinstalled Virtual Box multiple times with no success.

The VirtualBox kexts are being rejected/prevented from loading due to a security issue:

/Library/Application Support/VirtualBox/VBoxDrv.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) authentication failure (file ownership/permissions)

Post the output of the following commands:
