Upgrade 3.1.8 to 3.2.0 with W2000 Client - Very Slow
Running Virtual Box on a MB Pro i7 8GB OSX 10.6.3 with Windows 2000 Client.
An upgrade from VB 3.1.8 to 3.2.0 leads to the client running very slow and hesitant, in fact unusable. This also occurred on the 3.2.0 betas.
I have found that disabling the "Enable Nested Paging" option on the Accelerator TAB restored speed.
Is this a bug or is a disabled ENP the recommended option on this system?
Thanks
Peter

Happening to me also on Win7 running 3.2.0 with XP guest with i5 cpu on Sony Z.
Turning off Nested Paging restores the usability of the VM. Did flip back to 3.1.8 and that worked fine with Nested Paging "on". 3.1.6 works fine too, so it's a 3.2.x problem.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, 3.1.6 and 3.1.8 worked fine with ENP on.NuShrike wrote:Happening to me also on Win7 running 3.2.0 with XP guest with i5 cpu on Sony Z.

Could one (!) of you open a ticket on our bug tracker and attach the VBox.log of such a slow session? We can't reproduce this here. Thanks.

Re: Upgrade 3.1.8 to 3.2.0 with W2000 Client - Very Slow
Mine on Leopard would no longer boot. It would start up Windows 7 but then eventually close and the status of the VM would say "aborted".
I went back to 3.1.8 and all is fine again.
I found this in the log:

People, please comment in the defect and attach your logs. We can only say something meaningful if all the information is present (full log). Thanks.

Re: Upgrade 3.1.8 to 3.2.0 with W2000 Client - Very Slow
Well, I'm just rolling back to 3.1.8. Just not comfortable with this .0 release which has not been patched still (besides the reported W2008 mem-leak reports).
Then something corrupted my MSInstaller (even with MSE running) so had to copy a reg setting for msiserver from another working W764 computer so I could uninstall 3.2.0 and reinstall 3.1.8.
