ERROR: recv: Connection reset by peer

Post by GameCat »

Hi,

I use:
- My Linux host is Ubuntu desktop 6.06 on a dedicated server with VBox 1.4.0;
- My VM is running Windows XP Pro & VRDP enabled (Port 3389, Authentication type: null).

When I connect with rdesktop (it's the same issue with Windows Remote Desktop on Vista) to the VM, it works [1] but after a random delay I get the following error message : ERROR: recv: Connection reset by peer. The VM is still working on the Linux host.

It seems that more I use the VM (in ``load average'' terms as launching many windows) more the delay is short. The VM has 512 Mo of memory on a 1 Go server but with less memory (192 Mo) for the VM, it's the same issue.

Any idea :( ?

[1] I log in and can use Windows XP normally.

I just tried to replace the Ubuntu 6.06 of the host by a Debian Etch but the same issue is raising too.

So, it seems to be a VBox bug ! I reported the issue here: http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/518 but I do not have many hopes in a quick resolution.

Cheers.
