I have just upgraded to 6.1.8 r137981 (Qt5.6.1) from 5.2.36-135684. The available resolutions for my display are now limited. I have a 1600x900 display, until this upgrade that resolution was available on my Windows 7 Pro guest. Now it is not and display detection is unavailable. The only resolutions available are ratios such as 1280x1024, 1024x768, etc.

Did you update the guest additions in the Windows guest also to 6.1.8?
