Trouble opening a VM provided by the P4.org

Post by vsag96 »

Hi,

There must probably be many posts regarding this, I read all of them and below is a summary of the things I have done. If you can tell me, what more I can do It would be great.

I have installed, kernel headers, dkms, oracle extension pack as well. I am unable to open a VM provided by the p4 folks. Here is the log output and I am also attaching it to the post. If anyone can tell me what's wrong, it would be great. I thought maybe the order of installation matters, so I purged everything. I installed kernel headers first, then dkms and then virtualbox. Still I get the same error.

I use Debian buster as my OS and the virtual box version is 6.1.

Like Alice said to Ralph in 'The Honeymooners':
You're doing an impression of 2 pounds of baloney in a 1-pound bag.
That guest probably will not run anytime on that host with that much memory. Drop that slider to 2GB then see what happens.
