hello virtualbox community,
I encounter annoying problems with my virtualbox VMs which keep crashing ever and ever when:
- I copy-paste host to guest ;
- I open a now tab in firefox
- I browse my file system with the file system manager
these events do not systematically crash the guest, but regularly do.
I tried at first with a CentOS-8 VM, and it crashed very regularly (can not use my VM more than 10 minutes without crashing).
I tried then with Linux Mint, but while not so regularly, it keeps crashing.
I do not know what to do apart from thowing away virtualbox...
any help will be much appreciated!
please find below and enclosed the Virtualbox log files and other details regarding my configuration.

Re: VM guest keep crashing silently
I would first try increasing graphics RAM to something more useful, e.g. 256MB.

Re: VM guest keep crashing silently
Thank you for the hint. I tried to increase the associated graphic RAM up to 128MB (the maximum settings available through my Virtualbox interface), however, I did not see any significant improvement.mpack wrote:I would first try increasing graphics RAM to something more useful, e.g. 256MB.
Re: VM guest keep crashing silently
do you remeber if you have any webcam attached to the VM during those crashes?
I have a similar issue. I replied here but it was moved to another forum area: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=96280&p=491021

Re: VM guest keep crashing silently
doleron, there is no mention of the webcam being used by ilovemyvmsverymuch in the posted log that I can see, aside from the normal couple of mentions in the configuration section because the Extension Pack was being loaded.
ilovemyvmsverymuch's VM had 3D acceleration enabled and only 32MB video RAM, which is tiny for 3D acceleration. Also it was running under 6.1.0, by default the buggiest version of the new 6.1.x release.
